Thomas Frederick has been in the RFID technology industry since 1994. Thomas began their career at Sensormatic as a Senior Advisory Consulting Engineer, where they were responsible for research and development for real-time classification of random signals in noise for LF RFID systems. Thomas provided technical leadership, direction, and oversight of a team of engineers working on concurrent projects across multiple generations of product portfolio. In 2005, they moved to Sirit as a Chief Systems Engineer, where they conducted research and development on algorithms and architectures for high performance passive and semi-passive (battery assisted) UHF RFID systems. Thomas was responsible for software defined radio and hardware radio interface architecture including link budget and hybrid analog/discrete channel filter design. In 2010, they joined Clairvoyant Technology Inc. as the Chief Executive Officer, where they focused on research, design, development, manufacturing, sales, and support of the most advanced RAIN RFID technology on the market. Their ongoing research is focused on pushing the cost-performance envelope to remove obstacles in market adoption of passive UHF RFID.
Thomas Frederick has obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida, a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Science - MS in Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
