Robert Chen

Robert Chen started their work experience in 2012 as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Sensata Technologies. There, they were responsible for designing components for automotive pressure sensors and utilized six-sigma methodology for process development. Robert then became a Lead Design Engineer, leading a team in developing a new high-volume sensor package and collaborating with purchasing and quality departments. In 2017, they joined CooperSurgical as a Mechanical Project Engineer II, where they designed components for IVF lab equipment and led major equipment development projects. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering and Production at Clarapath, Inc., where they are developing a full automation solution for histology and pathology. Robert works closely with a cross-disciplinary group to solve challenging problems in automating the histology process.

Robert Chen obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in 2012. Robert then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University in 2016. In addition, they hold a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Sensata Technologies.
