Ted Sprys

Ted Sprys has over 30 years of work experience in project management roles. Ted currently works as the Lead Project Manager at Clario, where they manage a team of up to six Project Managers and ensures project success by removing any obstacles. Prior to this, Ted worked as a Senior Project Manager at Clario, where they directed and managed clinical trial cross-functional teams to deliver software and hardware solutions.

Before joining Clario, Ted worked at Highmark Inc. for over 20 years in various managerial roles. As the Manager of the Vendor Management Office, they led the implementation of a new Agile project management approach and was responsible for managing a team of 7 personnel and 59 vendors. Ted also served as a Senior External Relationship Client Manager, where they led cross-functional teams in installing vendor solutions and managed relationships with vendors. Additionally, they worked as an External Vendor and Partner Plan Program Manager, successfully implementing partner plans and integrating vendor services into operations. Ted started their career at Highmark as an Enrollment Project Manager/Business Lead Specialist, where they successfully managed the integration of Mountain State BCBS enrollment onto the Highmark platform.

Prior to their long tenure at Highmark, Ted worked as a Consultant at EY and as an IT Auditor at PNC. Ted holds an MBA, PMP, and CSM certifications.

Ted Sprys, MBA, PMP, CSM, has a strong educational background and a number of additional certifications. Ted began their education at North Allegheny High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1983 to 1986. Following that, they attended La Roche University from 1986 to 1990, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Ted then pursued higher education at Robert Morris University, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from 1992 to 1998.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ted Sprys has obtained several notable certifications. In September 2003, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. More recently, in September 2020, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com. Furthermore, in November 2020, they achieved the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. These certifications reflect their dedication to professional development and expertise in project management and process improvement methodologies.
