Michael Koop

Michael Koop is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in process and materials engineering within the automotive sector. Currently serving as Director of Process and Materials Engineering EMEA at Clarios since May 2019, Michael has a track record of leading process engineering teams and implementing global best practices. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Johnson Controls Autobatterie GmbH & Co. Kgaa, including Director Process Engineering EMEA and Director Core Components Strategy. Earlier career milestones include serving as Senior Program Manager at Johnson Controls and Director Program Management at Johnson Controls - Saft Advanced Power Solutions. Michael holds a Dok.Rer. Nat. in Inorganic Chemistry from Bielefeld University, a Master of Engineering Science in Chemical Engineering from Monash University, and a BSc. Hons in Chemistry from Flinders University.
