John Ellis, GISP, currently serves as an Environmental Specialist at Clark County since March 2019 and owns Ellis Tech Consulting, providing technical assistance for desktop computers and servers since August 2018. Previously, John held the position of Chief Technology Officer at TEAQ Group from October 2016 to October 2022 and worked as a GIS Specialist at Navarro Research and Engineering for a brief period in 2019. Notably, John was the Manager of Technology at TriTechne, Inc., managing various IT systems from October 2017 to August 2018, and served as the Environmental Manager at Knight & Leavitt Associates, Inc., where responsibilities included overseeing a team of biologists and managing environmental projects from March 2007 to October 2017. Additionally, John edited and compiled articles for the NGIS Newsletter from June 2012 to May 2017 and completed a student internship with the California Cultural Resources Protection Alliance in 2006. John earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 2002 to 2006.
