Jon Minter has over 10 years of work experience in software engineering. Jon began their career in 2009 as a Senior Developer at Bonnier, where they overhauled a boat classified ads website to improve performance and usability. In 2010, they joined NBC.com as a Software Engineer, where they updated the search engine and helped create a custom centralized content management system. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Senior Web Developer at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Online, where they were part of the team that built a new version of the DisneyWorld.com website. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Senior PHP Developer at Computer Technology Consulting LLC. During this time, they also worked as a Sr. Web Applications Developer at Lockheed Martin. In 2015, they joined 540 as a Senior Developer, and then in 2018 they moved to Capital One as a Senior Software Engineer. Most recently, they have been working at Stripe as an Infrastructure Engineer - Streaming Data Platform since 2021, and they are currently working at ClassDojo as a Data Infrastructure Engineer.

Jon Minter attended the University of Maryland from 2005 to 2006, studying Computer Science. Jon then attended Prince George's Community College from 2002 to 2005, earning an A.S. in Computer Science. In November 2016, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
