Bart Blockmans

Bart Blockmans has a strong background in research and development engineering. Bart has worked as an R&D engineer at Classified Cycling since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at KU Leuven for several years, first as a PhD researcher and later as a senior researcher in the Mecha(tro)nic System Dynamics research group. During their time at KU Leuven, Bart focused on model reduction of contact problems in flexible multibody dynamics and developed software for dynamic simulation. Bart also worked at Flanders Make as a senior researcher and project coordinator.

Bart Blockmans has an extensive education history in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Bart started their academic journey in 2006 at KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus, where they pursued a Bachelor and Master of Science (B&M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. Bart successfully completed this program in 2010.

Afterward, they continued their studies at KU Leuven, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to 2012. During this period, they further developed their expertise in the field.

In 2007, Bart Blockmans also pursued a shorter program in Philosophy, specifically a Shortened Bachelor, at KU Leuven. This indicates their interest in exploring diverse subjects alongside their core engineering studies.

Finally, Bart Blockmans pursued a Doctorate in Engineering (PhD) specializing in Mechanical Engineering at KU Leuven from 2012 to 2018. This program represents the pinnacle of their education, highlighting their dedication to advancing knowledge in this field.
