Bay Gaillard

Bay Gaillard has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Freelance Web Developer for Bonsai Designs until 2007. They then worked as a Contractor at Diebold from October 2011 to April 2013, where they were involved in Test Automation, developing testing frameworks in Java and leading SQA efforts on two projects. From 2011 to 2013, they also worked as a Contractor at Randstad Technologies US.

In 2013, Bay Gaillard joined Dealer Tire as a QA Analyst, later transitioning to the role of Software Engineer from January 2017 to April 2018. They then took on the role of Senior SRE at AXS from May 2018 to November 2019. In this position, they worked on systems engineering and subsequently as a Senior Platform Engineer at ClassPass from December 2020 onwards. At ClassPass, they were part of a small team responsible for maintaining the platform, CI/CD workflow, analytics database, and the AWS ECS microservice architecture. Notably, they also added a Canary deploy feature to custom deployment tooling. Overall, Bay Gaillard's experience includes software development, quality assurance, systems engineering, and platform maintenance.

Bay Gaillard completed a BA in Drama with a minor in Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2006 to 2010. Later, from 2010 to 2011, Bay pursued an MSc in Computer Science at the University of Salford. In addition to formal education, Bay Gaillard obtained a certification in Human-Computer Interaction from Coursera in November 2012.
