Joel Brown

Joel Brown has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Joel started their career in 2011 as a GIS Specialist at the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. Joel then worked at Plum Creek as a Database Administrator from 2012 to 2014, and later as a Sr. GIS Data Manager from 2014 to 2016. Joel joined Geographic Information Services, Inc. in 2016 as a Geospatial Developer, and then moved to ClassPass in 2018. At ClassPass, they initially worked as a Software Engineer from April 2018 to November 2019, and currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer.

Joel Brown pursued their education at the University of Montana. From 2003 to 2007, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography. Later, they furthered their studies at the same institution, earning a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from 2008 to 2010.
