Melissa Helvey has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Melissa started their career in 1999 as a Project Coordinator at Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. From 2000 to 2002, they worked as a Sales Executive at Anita Dee Yacht Charters, managing sales and event planning for corporate and social group events. From 2003 to 2006, they served as an Office Administrator at HealthSystems of Illinois, supervising the organization's office and handling communications and budgetary responsibilities.
In 2006, Melissa joined MB Real Estate as a Business Analyst, where they conducted comprehensive cost and profitability analysis for luxury residential and commercial real estate projects until 2011.
From 2012 to 2014, they worked at Northcentral University as an Associate Director of Programmatic Assessment, leading regional accreditation initiatives and managing programmatic assessment data and structures.
From 2014 to 2021, Melissa held roles at Watermark, specializing in Strategic Account Sales. Melissa built and maintained relationships with prospects and clients, successfully closing intricate sales opportunities with C-level executives and institutional leaders.
In 2021, Melissa joined Education Management Solutions as a Sales Manager, later becoming the Director of New Market Sales in 2022. Melissa directed sales initiatives for new and emerging solutions, including the management of the newest solution, Competency.AI. In February 2023, they were promoted to Regional Vice President, overseeing sales operations.
Currently, Melissa is the Vice President of Sales at ClassRanked, starting in May 2023.
Melissa Helvey completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Spanish Language and Literature at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Melissa then pursued a Post Baccalaureate degree in Clinical Psychology at Northwestern University from 2010 to 2011.
