Daniel Cavanaugh is the Co-Founder and COO of Clean Crop Technologies. Daniel has over 10 years of experience in the agricultural industry, with a focus on commodity trading, field operations, and supply chain management.
Prior to founding Clean Crop Technologies, Daniel was a Commercial Manager at Cargill, where they led a team of 200 field staff and was responsible for P&L reporting for the company's trading business. Daniel also served as a Project Manager for new business initiatives, including the development of ERP systems and trade execution data management platforms.
In 2016, Daniel left Cargill to become an independent consultant, providing technical and strategic advisory services to agribusiness investment firms and development organizations. Daniel has advised clients on the procurement of new technologies and operational/management systems, and has helped develop more efficient production systems and identify risks in their supply chains.
Daniel has also worked as a Market Systems Advisor and Value Chain Consultant for the USAID FtF Rice and Diversified Crop (RDC) program in Bangladesh, and as a Senior Strategic Advisor for the design of a new Public-Private Sector Partnership (KADPMC) contract farming and fertilizer distribution program in Nigeria.
Daniel Cavanaugh has a Master's degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs, a B.S. in Business Finance and Economics from Virginia Tech, an MBA Certification in Agriculture Executive Management from Ivey Business School at Western University, and a Certification in Agronomy and Crop Science from Purdue University.
They are on a team with Christine Roddy - Project Director, Kevin Keener - Co-Founder & CSO, and Rachael Useted - Lab Director. Daniel Cavanaugh reports to Dan White, Co-Founder & CEO, Board Director.
