Ed Mourar

Ed Mourar has extensive experience in engineering and technical leadership roles. Ed served as the Vice President at Clear Align since 2014. Prior to that, they were the VP of Engineering at Fraser Optics from 2005 to 2014, where they developed innovative products and patents, resulting in significant sales growth and a US Army contract. Before that, they worked at Topcon Medical Systems from 1997 to 2005, where they held positions as Director of Engineering and Operations and Engineering Manager. At Topcon, they expanded the core business into new medical markets, increased efficiencies, and implemented quality systems. Ed also worked as a System Engineer at LSA, Inc from 1995 to 1997, leading the design and development of electro-optic systems. Prior to that, they were a Senior Engineer at Lockheed Martin from 1988 to 1995, managing the assembly, testing, and alignment of satellite systems. Ed began their career as an Edison Engineer at General Electric from 1986 to 1988, specializing in maneuver dynamics and management analysis.

Ed Mourar obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Ed later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Engineering Science from the same university, completing it from 1989 to 1991.
