William Thomas has a strong background in sales and marketing within the animal health industry. William started their career at Merck as a Sales and Product Manager, where they successfully managed a large advertising-promotional budget for Ivermectin, a top-selling drug in the animal health sector. William then moved on to IDEXX Laboratories, where they served as the Director of Sales, Americas, leading the international industrial diagnostics sales organization. During their time at IDEXX, they demonstrated exceptional strategic leadership as the company rapidly expanded.
Following their role at IDEXX, William joined MariCal, Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer, providing key strategic leadership for the research and development biotech company. William focused on the calcium-sensing receptor technology and managed financing to fuel the development of novel feed additive products.
After their tenure at MariCal, William became the National Sales Director at Neogen Corporation, responsible for growing multiple business units and managing a team of sales directors. William implemented organizational restructuring that led to significant revenue growth.
Currently, William is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at ClearH2O, a life science company serving the animal health industry. In this role, they apply proprietary gel technology to develop and market products for hydration, nutrient delivery, and therapeutics in various markets, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic medical research, and food animal agriculture.
William Thomas attended the University of California, Davis, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics, completing their studies in 1984. Later on, they enrolled at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1987.
