John Port

John Port is a skilled cybersecurity professional with experience in detection engineering and incident response. Currently serving as a Detection Engineer at CLEAR since April 2024, John focuses on enhancing the organization's cybersecurity measures through the development and deployment of SIEM detections and automation. Previously, as an Incident Response Analyst at Tines and in a managerial role at Barracuda SKOUT Managed XDR, John oversaw security automation teams, driving technical innovation and incident response efforts. John also played a crucial role as a Senior Cyber Security Analyst at Barracuda, where the first SOAR solution was engineered. Additionally, John's early career included conducting cybersecurity operations for over 1,000 clients and an internship at the U.S. Department of Justice. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security from Marist University.
