Rick Johnson

Rick Johnson has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Rick began their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Gulf Oil in 1977, before moving to Lubrizol in 1978 where they managed multiple engineering groups and supported new product launches. At Saint-Gobain Crystals, starting in 1999, Rick directed product development and managed market P&L for semiconductor and medical laser markets across multiple countries. From 2007 to 2008, they served as Director of Marketing at Joslyn Hi-Voltage, where they directed market and product development and managed new product commercialization. In 2008, Rick became the Marketing Director at Algae Producers of America, a role they held until 2012. Rick then joined Swagelok as a Lead Product Engineer from 2009 to 2012. Starting in 2017, Rick held various positions in the water and environmental services industry, including the role of Strategic Initiatives Consultant at Clearas Water Recovery and Director of Sales and Marketing at InNow LLC. In 2018, they became the Chief Operating Officer at Gen3Bio, Inc. Currently, Rick is the Director of Sales and Marketing at Applied Environmental Solutions, a company they co-founded in 2019 to address water and wastewater challenges through sustainable environmental solutions in agriculture, industry, and municipal applications.

Rick Johnson attended the United States Naval Academy from 1973 to 1977, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering. After that, they pursued a Masters degree in Marketing at Cleveland State University. No specific dates were provided for their time at Cleveland State University.
