Benjamin Burt

Benjamin Burt has extensive experience in the field of technology and operations. Benjamin currently holds the position of Director of Onboard Engineering at ClearDATA, a role they started in November 2022. Prior to this, Benjamin worked at Smartsheet as a Sr. SRE II from August 2021 to December 2022.

Benjamin spent a significant portion of their career at 2nd Watch, where they held various positions. Benjamin served as a Sr. Cloud Consultant from August 2020 to September 2021 and was later promoted to MCS Engineering Director, a role they held from February 2019 to August 2020. Before that, they worked as an MCS Engineering Manager from November 2017 to February 2019. Additionally, Benjamin served as a Cloud Operations Architect from December 2015 to November 2017 and as a Sr. Cloud Operations Engineer from May 2013 to December 2015.

Prior to joining 2nd Watch, Benjamin worked at Kootenai Health as a MIS Operations Server Administrator from November 2011 to May 2013. Benjamin also gained experience as a Network Operations Center Engineer at Coldwater Creek from October 2010 to November 2011.

Benjamin's early career includes a role as a Data Center Engineer at Microsoft from October 2009 to October 2010 and as a Technical Support Specialist at Moss Adams LLP from October 2007 to October 2009.

Benjamin Burt completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems from Eastern Washington University. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including the 70-533 Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions from Microsoft in June 2018, the Microsoft Certified Professional certification in June 2018, the AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2019, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in July 2013, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services in September 2015, the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services in March 2017, the AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification from Amazon Web Services in March 2018, the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in August 2016, and the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2017.
