Christopher Sier

Christopher Sier has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Christopher is currently the Chief Executive Officer at ClearGlass, where they oversee the provision of investment-cost reports to pension funds and helps consumers understand the value-for-money provided by their DC pension funds through AgeWage. Christopher is also a Founding Member of AgeWage Ltd, focusing on helping people understand the value of their pension savings. Additionally, Christopher serves as an Honorary Professor at Durham University and a Visiting Professor at the University of Leeds. Christopher has extensive experience in the fintech industry, serving as the Chairman at Fintech North and the Fintech Envoy for the Northern Powerhouse. Previously, they worked as a Professor of Practice at Newcastle University Business School and as the Managing Director of FiNexus, where they promoted and managed challenge-led innovation programs in the financial services industry. Christopher has also served as the Chair of the FCA Institutional Disclosure Working Group and as the Managing Director of Stonefish Consulting Ltd.

Christopher Sier completed their education in a chronological order. Christopher began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Marine and Environmental Biology from the University of St Andrews in 1990. Christopher then pursued a PhD in Marine Ecology at Newcastle University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Afterward, Christopher attended Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Business, from 2002 to 2003.
