James has devoted his career to providing market and economic insights to financial advisors and institutional investors. Having worked with thousands of advisors across the country, he has a deep understanding of the challenges they face in helping clients position for long-term trends.
James is also passionate about the role of technology in financial services. He has designed and built several data-driven, digital capital markets research technologies throughout his career.
Previously, he was a Global Market Strategist with JPMorgan where he helped to develop the Guide to the Markets. Prior to this, James was a Partner at Copia Capital, a hedge fund in Chicago. He appears regularly on CNBC and in the financial press.
In his spare time, James enjoys all activities involving food. He lives with his wife, kids, and golden retriever in New York City.
James is a CFA charterholder. He earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
