Jacques Masson

Export Control and Risk Manager Officer at ClearSpace

Jacques Masson has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Jacques began their career in 1982 with the European Space Agency as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer specializing in Solar Generator technology. Jacques worked in this role until 1990.

From 1990 to 1996, Jacques served as the Director of the Space Insurance Department at Willis, a role in which they managed risk and insurance services related to space missions. Jacques then transitioned to the role of Director for the Asia Pacific region at Willis from 1996 to 1998.

In 1999, Jacques joined Aon Risk Services as the Director for the Asia Pacific region, overseeing risk management solutions for clients in that area until 2000.

From 2000 to 2003, Jacques worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Satlink Broadband Communications, where they played a crucial role in shaping the company's technology strategy.

In 2003, Jacques joined the European Space Agency (ESA) as a Senior Programmatic Engineer, responsible for managing and coordinating various programs. Jacques held this position for almost two decades, until their recent role transition in March 2022.

Jacques Masson completed their education from 1977 to 1982 at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), where they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in the field of Mecanic and Robotic.
