Kees van der Pols has a long and varied career in the aerospace industry. Kees began their career in 2000 as a private driver for CC-Drive Chauffeursdiensten. In 2003 they began working as a project advisor/supervisor for TU Delft. In 2004 they became a Spacecraft Operations Engineering trainee at the European Space Agency. In 2005 they were a reporter for DELTA (Delft University Newspaper). In 2006 they were a Space Engineer at NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre and also had a role as International Space Station / ERASMUS USOC support for NLR at ESA/ESTEC. From 2007 to 2011 they were a System Engineer at Northstar Earth and Space, Copernicus Operations Service Manager at EUMETSAT, and a Spacecraft Operations Engineer at the European Space Agency. Since 2020 they have been the Head Ground Segment and Mission Operations at ClearSpace SA.
Kees van der Pols obtained their Master degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 2006. Prior to that, they attended Allegheny College on a Fullbright scholarship from 1998 to 1999, studying Economics, Math, Astronomy, Public Speaking, and Music Kees'story. Kees also holds a certification in prince2 from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
