Rutger Schellens

Rutger Schellens currently serves as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Frontclear and an Advisory Board Member at Clearstream, while also holding the position of CEO at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. since May 2017. Between November 2016 and November 2020, Rutger was Chair of the Advisory Board at Franx and previously led Global Markets activities and ABN AMRO Clearing Bank as Head of Capital Markets Solutions at ABN AMRO Bank N.V. from 2011 to 2017. Prior to that, a significant career at Rabobank included various executive roles encompassing deputy chairmanship and global leadership in financial markets. Educated at prestigious institutions such as INSEAD and The Wharton School, Rutger’s qualifications include a Certificate in Corporate Governance and advanced risk management expertise.
