Ryan Smart

Ryan Smart is currently a Director - Capital Strategy at Clearwater Paper Corporation, where Ryan also serves as the Core Transformation Team - Capital Lead and Project Manager in addition to their role as Superintendent - PM2. Previously, Ryan was the Mill Manager at Ladysmith Mill when it was acquired by Dunn Paper. Prior to that, Ryan held the position of Operations Manager at Ladysmith Mill at Clearwater Paper Corporation. Ryan also has experience as a Superintendent at Boise Paper and Sappi Fine Paper North America, where Ryan held various roles including Maintenance Coordinator, Shift Supervisor, and Sr. Process Engineer. With a background in Paper Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Ryan has extensive experience in the paper industry, including product development, cost savings projects, and general line support.
