Nathan W.

Nathan W. has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. From 2022 onwards, they have been working as a Principal Consultant at Clearwater, where they provide executive-level advisory services and manages risk for companies in the healthcare industry. In this role, they oversee the development of information security and HIPAA compliance programs, as well as conducts technical testing.

Prior to their current position, Nathan worked at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation from 2006 to 2022. During this time, they held various roles, including Manager of Information Security. In this role, they led the development and implementation of cybersecurity measures for medical devices and healthcare IT systems. Nathan also supervised a team and implemented security protocols. Before becoming a manager, Nathan served as a Cybersecurity Analyst, where they worked on enhancing the organization's internal cybersecurity posture and closely collaborated with product development teams.

Starting in 2012, Nathan worked as a Senior Customer Support Engineer at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, where they acted as an escalation point and subject matter expert. Nathan also developed web applications using Node.js. Between 2008 and 2012, they held the position of an Enterprise Solutions Engineer, demonstrating crisis management skills and supervising and mentoring other employees. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, Nathan worked as a Customer Solutions Engineer, managing post-sales services for a health network.

Before joining FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation, Nathan worked as an Information Technology Coordinator at Alaska Open Imaging Center from 2003 to 2006.

Throughout their career, Nathan has gained extensive experience in cybersecurity, risk management, information technology, and customer service.

Nathan W. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Management from Ottawa University. In terms of certifications, they obtained the following: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² in March 2023, Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA in March 2023, Cloud Digital Leader from Google in August 2022, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2022, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in October 2021, VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV) from VMware in January 2017, Cloud Digital Leader from Google Cloud in August 2022, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2022, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in October 2018, and HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP) from (ISC)² in September 2019. Additionally, they have pursued an Accredited Interscholastic Coach certification from the National Federation of State High School Associations and has obtained certifications related to F5 BigIP LTM, MCSE/MCSA/MCITP, and VMware Certified Professional 3.x-4.x from F5 Networks, Microsoft, and VMware respectively.
