Chris Barker

Chris Barker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chris started their career as a Database Administrator and Web Administrator at the Small Business Development Center from 1998 to 2000. Chris then worked as a Computer Operator and Help Desk at Saint Vincent Health Center from 1999 to 2001.

From 2001 to 2005, Chris worked as an eServices Systems Analyst and Web Developer at General Electric Transportation Systems. Chris then briefly served as a Systems Analyst at the City Hall of Erie, PA in 2004.

In 2005, Chris took on the role of an Instructor at Erie Business Center, where they designed and implemented lesson plans for various technology-related classes. Chris also utilized a variety of teaching techniques to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.

From 2006 to 2010, Chris worked as a Senior Web Applications Developer at ExecutivePulse, Inc. Chris was responsible for developing and maintaining the company's website and implementing dynamic JavaScript error checking for form submissions.

Chris then joined Soltech in 2010 as a Systems Analyst and .NET Developer. Chris played a senior role in developing an enterprise-level customer service portal for AGL Resources, utilizing ASP.NET C#, Webforms, AJAX, and jQuery.

In 2014, Chris became a Software Engineer at Norfolk Southern Railroad, where they worked on a project to improve the utilization and management of empty rail cars. Chris single-handedly developed a Windows service to make accurate dispatch decisions, projected to save the company over $1 billion.

From 2016 to 2017, Chris worked as a Software Engineer at Comcast, focusing on developing AngularJS applications and performing billing system migrations from Amdocs to CSG.

Currently, Chris is a Senior Software Engineer at Clearwave Corporation, where they have been working since 2018.

Chris Barker attended Gannon University from 1998 to 2002, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering.
