Mark Bearden has a strong work experience background, starting their career in 1998 as a Member of Technical Staff at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs. Mark worked on coding-architecture and project management roles for the first generation of ExpertNet, a suite of software tools for Avaya Services' pre-sales voice-over-IP network performance assessments. Mark then moved on to work as a Research Engineer at Avaya Labs, focusing on research and development.

In 2002, they joined VELOXITI, Inc. as a Principal Systems Engineer. Mark worked in this role for a year before transitioning to Applied Systems Intelligence, now known as VELOXITI, Inc., where they worked as a Lead Software Engineer and later a Product Manager. During this time, they directed new-product management and manufacturing, performed coding and software architecture for FATHOM, and conducted IP video network assessments for government and commercial customers.

In 2003, they started working at Applied Global Technologies as the Lead Software Engineer/Product Manager. Mark was responsible for directing new-product management and manufacturing, carrying out requirements definition, and developing field-tech training and certification programs. Mark also performed coding, software architecture, and hardware design for FATHOM.

From 2006 to 2015, Mark Bearden worked at Qcept Technologies, first as a Software Architect and later as the Director of Software Development. In these roles, they led software development efforts, including architecture design and project management.

From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Ionic Security as a Sr. Software Engineering Manager and later as a Sr. Software Engineer. Mark then joined Mobile Labs, which was later acquired by Kobiton, as a Sr. Software Engineer. In both roles, they focused on front-end, back-end, and embedded development of high-performance servers for automated testing of mobile device platforms.

Since 2022, Mark Bearden has been working as a Software Architect at Adaptigent, where they contributed to software architecture and development. Currently, they are working as a Software Development Manager at Clearwave Corporation, where they manage the development of software products and oversees a team of developers.

Mark Bearden has a strong educational background in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mark obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical (Computer) Engineering from The University of Alabama, where they studied from 1986 to 1991.
