Wei-Ming Lan

Wei-Ming Lan is an experienced Mobile Device Architect with over three decades of expertise in telecommunications and mobile device technology. Currently at Clearwire, since January 2009, Wei-Ming manages WiMAX device vendor relationships, evaluates diverse WiMAX devices, and assesses the performance of WiFi/WiMAX chipsets. Previous roles at Sprint Nextel Communications involved developing RFI and RFP for 4G devices and authoring technical requirements for WiMAX devices. With a solid foundation from positions at Sony Ericsson, Nortel Networks, Siemens, and ITT in various engineering and architecture roles, Wei-Ming has contributed to significant advancements in telecom systems and mobile device technology. Wei-Ming holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications from National Chiao Tung University.
