Terry Schemmel

Terry Schemmel has extensive work experience in the quality engineering and manufacturing engineering fields.

From 2020 to the present, Terry worked at Cleerly as the Director of Quality Engineering and a Quality Assurance Specialist. In these roles, they updated the Quality Management System (QMS) for the company and built a quality team to continue with certifications and regulatory assessments.

Prior to Cleerly, Terry worked at Medtronic from 2015 to 2020 as an Engineering Manager.

From 2012 to 2014, Terry worked at Oracle as a Principal Engineer. They served as the primary manufacturing engineering interface with a magnetic tape head supplier in China, built a cost model for assembly and test processes, and were awarded a patent for an improved read-head design.

In 2011, Terry worked at Abound Solar as a Quality Manager. They were responsible for implementing methods, procedures, and process programs to improve quality at the solar panel manufacturer.

From 2009 to 2011, Terry worked at Fujifilm as a Technical Manager in the OEM Business. They provided technical support to the world's largest magnetic tape manufacturer and resolved corrective action requests from tape drive manufacturers.

Before Fujifilm, Terry worked at Quantum from 2001 to 2009 as an Engineering Manager. They managed software and hardware test groups for production sites worldwide, monitored yields and test data, and initiated improvements in yield, quality, and throughput.

Terry's career began at Agilent Technologies, where they worked as a Program Manager from 1999 to 2001.

Additionally, in 2002, Terry worked as a math tutor for high school through college-level students.

Terry Schemmel obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from Colorado State University, where they attended from 1981 to 1985. Additionally, in June 1990, they obtained a certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the Colorado Department of Health.
