Bryce Kalow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Bryce started their career in 2010, working as a Web Developer for Superior Charters & Yacht Sales, where they developed custom websites and created backend systems for administration and maintenance. Bryce also gained experience in boat maintenance, generating annual revenue for the company and providing customer training. In 2012, Bryce joined Holiday Kitchens as a Web Developer, leading the design and development of a new website and integrating the Expression Engine Content Management System. Subsequently, they worked as a Backend Web Developer for The Minnesota Daily, managing the company's website and collaborating with other developers to improve website response time. In 2014, Bryce joined Digi International as a Student Software Engineer, where they designed and developed various software applications, including an RF network sniffing tool and a program to parse and organize device log files. Bryce also developed a web application and hardware solution for tracking statistics and automating the scoring of a foosball table. Bryce joined the University of Minnesota Libraries in 2015 as an Applications Developer, where they played a key role in re-platforming multiple websites, including Ojibwe People's Dictionary and Minnesota Newspaper Database. Bryce worked with other developers to define project requirements and successfully migrated websites from Drupal to Ruby on Rails. In 2016, Bryce joined Target as a Software Engineer and later progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer, where they led the Front-End Platform Team, championed initiatives to improve guest experiences, and worked on migrating Target.com to a universal javascript application using Node.js and React. In 2021, Bryce joined HashiCorp as a Senior Web Engineer, contributing to web development projects until 2023. Currently, Bryce is a Staff Software Engineer at Clerk.com, where they continue to utilize their software engineering skills.
Bryce Kalow completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota between 2012 and 2016.
