Kate Schaff

Kate Schaff has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Kate began their career as an intern at the School for Arts in Learning, where they assisted in the kindergarten classroom and managed the after school program. Kate also coordinated partnerships and fundraisers for the organization.

Following their internship, Kate worked as a team member for The BRIDGE Project, establishing partnerships and collaborating on an article published in Street Sense. Kate then became a peer tutor at The George Washington University's Writing Center, where they helped students improve their writing skills through coaching and collaboration.

In 2012, Kate joined the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools as a conference coordinator, responsible for planning and coordinating the annual National Charter Schools Conference. Kate also developed marketing materials and organized a nationwide student art and essay contest.

Kate then transitioned into the restaurant industry, working as a server at Green Pig Bistro and Heirloom Cafe. During their time at Heirloom Cafe, they also passed the Certified Sommelier Exam.

In 2014, Kate joined Munchery as a customer care specialist and was later promoted to lead customer care specialist. Kate managed a team of 12 people, provided real-time support to customers, and developed training materials to ensure high-quality service.

Kate joined Clever Inc. in 2016 and held various roles, starting as a customer support specialist and eventually progressing to senior director of business operations. In their roles at Clever, they led the support team, pioneered the implementation team, and drove organizational change to maximize impact and efficiency.

Kate Schaff has a Bachelor's degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University. Kate also completed a Nanodegree in Predictive Analytics from Udacity in 2019. Kate has a High School Diploma from New Trier Township High School Winnetka. Kate has also pursued studies in Spanish Language at the University of Buenos Aires and participated in a program at IES Abroad in Berlin. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Negotiation Skills, Transformational Leadership, Leading Your Team Through Change, Jeff Weiner on Leading Like a CEO, and Diversity Recruiting from LinkedIn. Kate also attended the Capital Wine School in 2013.
