Craig Vodnik has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Craig co-founded cleverbridge in 2005 and played a key role in developing global flexible billing solutions for software companies. Craig bootstrapped the company to profitability within two years. In 2013, they founded HiFi Clinic. Prior to that, Craig worked at element 5 / Digital River, where they held positions such as U.S. Technical and Product Manager and Account and Project Manager. Their responsibilities included managing customer relationships, increasing revenue, and developing marketing programs. Craig also worked as a Consultant at Pencom Web Works, where they managed consulting relationships with NEC America and UBS and led the development of IT security projects. Additionally, they served as the Senior Webmaster at the Chicago Tribune, where they advised and led various groups, taught about internet technologies, and played a significant role in posting the complete newspaper online.

Craig Vodnik attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1988 to 1992. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nuclear Engineering.
