Jackson Santos

Jackson Santos has a diverse work experience in various companies. In their current role as the Principal DevOps Engineer at cleverbridge since January 2022, they demonstrate functional leadership by hiring and onboarding DevOps Engineers and being a member of the Center of Excellence.

Prior to this, they worked at Tivian as the Director of Cloud Solutions & Services from April 2021 to December 2021. In this role, they provided disciplinary leadership and was responsible for infrastructure automation and orchestration, cloud enablement, CI/CD, standards enforcement, pipeline management, environment management, and engineering tools and integration.

Before joining Tivian, Jackson served as the Head of Quality Assurance CEUR at Questback from March 2014 to April 2021. Jackson showcased disciplinary leadership and expertise in software quality management, agile testing, continuous integration, build management, continuous delivery, and team management. Jackson also held the position of Quality Assurance Manager at Questback from September 2009 to March 2014, where they introduced agile testing methods and was responsible for the continuous delivery project.

Earlier in their career, Jackson worked as a Software Tester at Siemens from July 2008 to October 2008 and completed a holiday internship at Google in July 2006.

Jackson Santos completed their education at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Business Information Systems in 2023. Prior to that, they attended Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Information Systems from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, Jackson Santos has obtained various certifications. Jackson became a CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer and CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in 2023 and 2022 respectively. Jackson also holds an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2021. Moreover, they have completed the Vipassana 10-day silent meditation retreat organized by Vipassana in 2019. Other certifications include Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in 2013, ISTQB Certified Tester from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in 2011, and Cisco Certified Network Associate from Cisco in 2008.
