Steve Davis

Steve Davis has extensive work experience in software engineering.

Steve started their career at Advanced Acoustic Concepts in 2007 as a Software Engineer Intern and later became a Software Engineer. Steve worked on various projects and prototypes for DoD programs, including the Littoral Combat Ship and AN/SQQ-89 programs. Steve'stech stack included Linux, Core Java, Java Web Services, C++, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and more. Steve also integrated software and hardware with 3rd party partner companies and maintained and enhanced existing DoD/Navy software.

In 2013, Steve was promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Advanced Acoustic Concepts. In this role, they designed, implemented, integrated, and maintained Services, APIs, and Interfaces using Java and C++. Steve worked on various integration labs and continued to enhance DoD/Navy software.

In 2016, Steve transitioned to Clever Devices as a Senior Software Engineer. Here, they designed and implemented new product features and maintained existing functionality. Steve also worked on debugging and resolving issues at customer production sites. Notable features they worked on include a new responsive website using Angular and Bootstrap and integrating and retrofitting the product with LED signs using a UDP-based messaging protocol.

Steve later took on the role of Lead Software Engineer at Clever Devices, starting in 2018. In this position, they led a team of 6 developers and worked closely with the product manager to define tickets and implement high-quality solutions. Steve was actively involved in the design and implementation of new features using Agile methodologies.
