Francell Steyn

Francell Steyn has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Francell started their career as a Casual at an events company, where they gained teamwork skills and participated in various sporting events.

Francell then worked as a Wine Steward at Camberley Wines, where they managed the tasting room and achieved the record for the most wine sold in a day.

Moving on, Francell joined Stellenbosch University, where they held multiple roles. As a Student Assistant in the Plant Physiology Laboratory, they assisted postgraduate students and conducted laboratory work. Francell also worked as a Research Assistant in the Soil-Plant Microbe group, contributing to a project on phytoremediation. Lastly, they served as a BioExcel Tutor, helping struggling students with biology concepts and exam preparation.

After their time at Stellenbosch University, Francell transitioned into the field of recruitment. Francell joined Scistaff Recruitment South Africa as a Scientific Recruiter, specializing in the Chemistry and Life Sciences field, and later joined Hays as a Recruitment Consultant for the Resources and Mining industry.

Currently, Francell is working at Clevertech. Francell started as a Technical Recruiter, responsible for sourcing and matching candidates in a remote position. Francell then became an SR Technical Recruiter and is now serving as a Recruitment Manager for the Applications Team.

Francell Steyn began their education in 2005 at Bloemhof Girls' High School, where they completed their high school education from 2005 to 2009. Francell then enrolled at Stellenbosch University in 2011 and graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor's degree in Biodiversity and Ecology. In 2015, they pursued further education and completed a B.Sc. Hons in Biodiversity and Ecology at Stellenbosch University. In 2017, they enrolled in Shaw Academy and obtained a diploma in Social Media Marketing.
