Lalanya (Lanie) Downs is a Senior Director of Community Relations and Public Affairs at the Cruise Lines International Association and has held a position in Public Affairs at the Alaska Cruise Association since 2007. Lanie served as a Legislative Aide for the Alaska State Legislature from 2003 to 2007 and was an Assistant Program Coordinator at the University of Nevada School of Medicine from 1999 to 2002. Lanie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services at the University of Nevada-Reno.
