Dan Zhang

Dan Zhang is the current Vice President of Finance at ClickUp. Prior to this, they served as the SVP, Finance & Operations at People.ai from January 2018 to December 2021, overseeing all finance, accounting, legal, and revenue operations for the company. Dan was also responsible for 10xing the business on both topline and valuation as acting CFO. From January 2014 to December 2018, Zhang served as the Director of Sales Operations & Strategy / Chief of Staff to CRO at AppDynamics. In this role, they built out the Global Sales Ops & Analytics team and scaled the ARR 10x to $500M during the hyper-growth period. Dan also led AppDynamics' IPO readiness - the company was acquired by Cisco 48 hours before IPO date at $3.7b.

Dan Zhang received their Master of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and their Master of Science in Statistics from Syracuse University. Dan also received their Master of Arts in Sociology from Syracuse University and their Bachelor of Laws in Sociology from the Communication University of China. Dan is certified as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.

They are on a team with Marshall Tyler - Chief Strategy Officer, Brian Shen - Head of Product Management, Work Management, and Alex Yurkowski - Co-founder, CTO. Their manager is Zeb Evans, Founder, CEO.
