Maria Somo

Maria Somo has a diverse work experience in various industries. Maria started working at Carlton Hair in November 2017 as a Stylist Assistant and Social Media Coordinator. In July 2018, they joined Luxury Brand Partners, LLC as a Retail Specialist for R+Co and remained there until June 2020. During their time at Carlton Hair, Maria also worked as a Property Manager and Experience Host at Airbnb from July 2018 to August 2019. In March 2019, they started working at Dyson as a Beauty Stylist and Educator, a role they held until July 2021. Prior to these roles, Maria worked as a Colorist at Chic Hair Salon from September 2011 to February 2020. Additionally, they have their own website, www.marialilysomo.com, where they serve as a Social Media Influencer and Blogger. Maria started this venture in April 2012 but stopped in January 2019. Most recently, Maria joined CLICS in February 2020 as a Communications Manager.

Maria Somo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing from San Diego State University. Additionally, they completed a program in Cosmetology and Makeup Artistry at Bellus Academy. Maria has obtained several certifications, including "Social Media Marketing Foundations" and "Becoming a Thought Leader" from LinkedIn. Maria is also certified as a Cosmetologist by the California State Board of Cosmetology, which they achieved in October 2012.
