Jim Brabston joined CSA’s board of directors in 2021. Jim is an experienced executive with over 20 years of knowledge in the government services space in operations and business development. He also led landmark acquisitions, assisting firms through significant periods of growth and strategic realignment.
Jim has held leadership roles in multiple prestigious firms. He was previously the CEO of GovermentCIO, a leading provider of high-end technology and digital solutions to the federal health IT services market. In 2021, he oversaw GovernmentCIO’s acquisition of Salient CRGT, a leading provider of data analytics, cloud, agile software development, cyber security, and infrastructure solutions to U.S. national security, federal civilian and federal health agencies.
Prior to his role as chief executive officer (COO) at GovCIO, Jim served as the president and chief operating officer of Camber Corporation, a $400M professional services firm owned by New Mountain Capital. Before Camber, he served as co-founder and the COO of Galeos Group, LP.
Jim also served as the COO of Stanley Inc. (NYSE:SXE), a $900m publicly held, government services firm. The company was acquired in 2010 by CGI Group (NYSE: GIB). Previously, Jim served as senior vice president of Mission Systems Group at Stanley Inc. During this time, he played a key role in the successful identification, acquisition and integration of Oberon Associates, a transaction recognized as the mid-size acquisition of the ear in 2008.
Mr. Brabston holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in software engineering from George Mason University.
