Daniel Nielsen

Surface Designer at Cliff Design

Daniel Nielsen has a diverse work experience in various industries. Daniel began their career as an Assembly Line Worker at Adecco, where they worked at the Volvo trucks factory. Daniel then worked as a Sales Advisor at H&M before transitioning to a Design Assistant role at Lindex. Daniel returned to H&M as a Sales Advisor for a second time. Daniel also worked as a consultant at Volvo Cars through Lernia.

Daniel's career in the automotive industry started at Volvo Cars, where they interned as a Surface Designer in the concept team. Daniel later joined Volvo Car Sverige as a Bilplåtslagare (PDR tekniker) before moving to Volvo Trucks as a Junior Surface Designer. At Volvo Trucks, they played a key role in implementing polygon modeling and VR shows to streamline workflow. Currently, Daniel is employed as a Senior Polygon Modeller at Rapid Images, utilizing their experience in the role.

Daniel Nielsen has a diverse education history. Daniel began their educational journey at MTG - Motorbranschens Tekniska Gymnasium from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Gymnasieexamen in Fordonsteknik (Vehicle Technology). Following this, they attended Accademia Italiana from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Fashion Design. Continuing their studies, Daniel enrolled at Tillskärarakademin i Göteborg in 2013 and completed a diploma in patternmaking and sewing. In 2017, they pursued an individual course in Ekonomi, entreprenörskap och marknadsföring (Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing) for 6 credits at the University of Skövde. Daniel then attended the University of Gothenburg in 2018 for an individual course focused on Design and Visual Communication. Recently, from 2019 to 2021, Daniel studied at Yrgo, where they obtained a Högskoleexamen in Design Tekniker - Surface Design.
