Gary Awdey

Gary Awdey is a seasoned quality assurance engineer with extensive experience in the steel industry. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Quality Assurance at Cleveland-Cliffs Inc since November 2020, Gary specializes in performing evaluations of light flat hot-rolled steel products to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards. Previously, as Chief Inspector at ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor for over eight years, Gary utilized microprocessor-aided automatic surface inspection techniques. Additional roles include Process Engineer in the Steelmaking Division at ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor and various positions focusing on process and product testing within steel manufacturing. Gary also held the position of President at the Great Lakes Cider & Perry Association, promoting cider and perry through educational initiatives. Gary's educational background includes a degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
