Jim Cooper

Jim Cooper is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in air permitting and compliance within various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Cleveland-Cliffs since December 2021, Jim previously held the position of Principal/Office Lead at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. From September 2008 to January 2018, Jim specialized in regulatory affairs as an Environmental Specialist at Chesapeake Energy, focusing on air permitting and compliance for production and midstream assets while engaging with regulating agencies. Prior consulting roles included positions at Potesta & Associates, Inc. and Environmental Regulatory Services Group, where Jim contributed to air quality reporting and compliance documentation.
