Jun Hu

Jun Hu is a seasoned Senior Research Engineer at Cleveland-Cliffs, specializing in the characterization and modeling of Advanced High Strength steels (AHSSs) under various conditions, utilizing finite element analysis for material performance evaluation. With a rich background in research and teaching at Clemson University, Jun Hu has explored strain evolution and material failure of AHSSs experimentally. Prior experience includes a technical internship at ThyssenKrupp Materials NA and research positions at both Clemson University and Qingdao University of Science & Technology, where projects ranged from affordance-based design to innovative hydraulic systems. Educational credentials include a PhD in Automotive Engineering Technology from Clemson University, alongside a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and dual Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering and English.
