Mike Spodar

Mike Spodar is a Senior Research Engineer at Cleveland-Cliffs since April 2022, with extensive experience in welding engineering. Previously, Mike held roles as a Senior Welding Engineer at Coldwater Machine Company, LLC, where the focus was on friction spin welding and quality control standards, and at Hobart Brothers, specializing in developing welding parameters for both hand and robotic welding. Additional experience includes positions as a Manufacturing Engineer at BWI GROUP, where Mike enhanced welding equipment processes, and earlier roles at Pentaflex, Inc., Arvin Meritor, and Lockheed Martin. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University.
