Asher Siebert is an applied climate scientist and physical geographer with over 15 years of experience in seasonal predictability, climate extremes analysis, and climate-economy modeling. Currently, Asher serves as a Senior Scientist on Loss and Damage at Climate Analytics and is a teaching assistant at the Columbia University Climate School. From 2016 to 2022, Asher held positions at the International Research Institute for Climate and Society, leading projects on seasonal forecasting and capacity building. They earned a PhD in Geography from Rutgers, an MA in Climate and Society from Columbia, and a BA in Geosciences from Princeton.
