Jared Smith is a seasoned professional in solar energy, risk management, and regulatory compliance. They began their career at Sunrun as an Operations Specialist before transitioning to Sungevity as an Asset Transfer Specialist, where they navigated complex customer situations. At Mosaic, they advanced through various roles, focusing on fraud and compliance while enhancing operational integrity. Currently, as the VP of Lending Compliance Officer at Climate First Bank, they lead compliance efforts and regulatory management initiatives, having previously built a compliance management system at SunPower Corporation. Jared earned an MBA from Presidio Graduate School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College.
