Sofia Abid serves as the West Africa Climate Innovation Lead and Program Manager for Climate Innovations & Entrepreneurship at Climate-KIC, focusing on facilitating systems transformation toward a zero-carbon and resilient world. Previous experience includes roles as a Project Researcher at the TUM Entrepreneurship Research Institute, where research concentrated on entrepreneurship for sustainable development, particularly in East Africa, and as a Community Manager at the TUM SEED Center, promoting sustainable energy and entrepreneurship education. As an Independent Consultant, Sofia has supported private sector clients in ESG integration and social impact measurement, working with minority-led technology startups in Africa. Education includes ongoing doctoral studies in Business Administration and Management at TUM, alongside a Master's in Sustainability Management and a Bachelor's in Engineering and Management.
