Gavin McCormick is a co-founder of Climate TRACE and WattTime, where Gavin serves as Executive Director, focusing on applying behavioral economics and modern econometrics to optimize electricity load shifting and reduce CO2 emissions. McCormick has contributed as a Board Member for Re-plate Inc., which addresses surplus food distribution, and has a strong academic background, having pursued a PhD in Environmental & Resource Economics at UC Berkeley while co-founding WattTime. Previous experience includes roles as an Associate Economist at Battelle, modeling GHG emissions trading at NERA Economic Consulting, and teaching in Namibia through WorldTeach. McCormick holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Berkeley and a BA in Economics from Williams College.
