Climatebase
Afnan Shaikh is a Climatebase Fellow at Climatebase since March 2024, bringing a solid background in petroleum engineering. Previously, Afnan worked as a Petroleum Engineer at Petroleumsoft from August 2017 to December 2021, where extensive research and development were conducted to create an algorithm for Carbonate and Sandstone Acidizing, alongside modeling diversion techniques for matrix acidizing applications. Afnan also gained valuable experience as a Trainee at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd in June 2015, where a comprehensive project report on Well Stimulation Operations was prepared and insights into the application of Coiled Tubing for wax removal were gained. Afnan holds a Master's degree in Environmental Systems Engineering and Management from Memorial University, completed in September 2023, and a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, earned in 2016.
