Dan Dodson

CTO at ClimateCentral

Dan Dodson returned to Climate Central as Chief Technology Officer in September, 2019, having worked previously at Climate Central as Software Developer for the Program on Sea Level Rise. In addition to his experience building Climate Central tools such as the Surging Seas Risk Finder and 3D flood visualizations in Google Earth, Dan has a broad-ranging background in technology for financial services. Over the years Dan has acquired experience in high-pressure systems debugging, server infrastructure management, software architecture and design, user interface development, and more. His leadership experience includes strategic decision making for business-critical systems involving a variety of stakeholders. Dan holds an A.B. in Mathematics-Physics from Brown University, and an M.S. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, with specialization in Machine Learning.
