Nito Simonsen

Nito Simonsen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nito is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Climatepoint, a position they have held since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Arctic Securities from 2016 to 2020, first as the Head of Arctic Digital from August 2017 to June 2020, and then as a Digital Fund Sales professional from September 2016 to June 2020. Before joining Arctic Securities, Nito worked at DNB from 2009 to 2016, holding various positions such as Senior Product Specialist in DNB Wealth Management from July 2013 to August 2016, International Client Manager in DNB Asset Management from February 2011 to July 2013, and participating in the Management Trainee Program from January 2009 to February 2011. Nito also worked at Kaupthing Bank as a Corporate Access Manager from January to November 2008. Nito's early career was as a Professional Athlete at Olympiatoppen from June 1999 to June 2007.

Nito Simonsen earned a BA in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. In 2000, they also took extracurricular classes at BI Norwegian Business School. Later, in 2011 and 2012, they attended the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) to become an Authorized Portfolio Manager, and in 2015 and 2016, they pursued a program in Authorized Financial Analyst (DNB AFA) at the same institution.
