Jane Ling has a diverse range of work experience in architecture and software engineering. Jane is currently working as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Climatiq since September 2022. Prior to that, in 2022, they were a Major League Hacking Prep Fellow at MLH Fellowship, where they contributed to frontend features and bug fixes on collaborative web projects and added a geolocation API feature using modern React hooks.

From 2020 to 2022, Jane worked as a Part 2 Architect at WilkinsonEyre, where they developed a solution for modeling site context 3 times faster using localized geospatial data in Hong Kong. Jane also created VBscript tools to streamline file renaming workflows for up to 300 drawings through self-initiated research.

In 2017, Jane worked as a Part 1 Architect at Florian Busch Architects, where they created a script using a recursive 3D path-finding algorithm for a site feasibility study in Hokkaido, Japan. Jane also automated 3D modeling processes using custom-built scripts in a visual programming tool.

Starting in 2015, Jane worked as a Part 1 Architect at Research Architecture Design (RAD) for one year.

Jane Ling completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA), RIBA Part 1 degree in Architecture at The University of Manchester from 2012 to 2015. Jane then pursued their Master of Architecture, AA Diploma (Hons), RIBA Part II degree at the Architectural Association from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Jane obtained a certification in CS50 Introduction to Computer Science from CS50 in January 2022.
